I figured my boss wouldn’t be in today.  Its a beautiful day, the sun is shining, and he typically golfs on days like this.  Sure enough, he calls me at work first thing this morning and tells me he’s not coming in. I said yeah, I pretty much figured that. 

Him: “What are you doing there? I thought I gave you the day off.”

Me:  “Umm… then you forgot to tell me and [my team leader].”

Him:  “Oh, sorry.”

Me: “Day off, eh? Ok, I’m going home then.”

Him: ”Works for me.”

I check with the others I’m assigned to and am covering for, no one needs me today, so I let my team leader know and left. I get the day off!    So in about a half hour, I’m heading out to see if I can get a new tattoo today.  I’ve been dying to get another one for awhile now, so I might as well make this a productive day. Relatively speaking, that is.
