We have a standard response of "We do not accept solicitations by phone, but if you would like to submit something in writing, we would be happy to consider it." If that doesn't work, the receptionist puts them thru to me, and I tell them I have authority to decline whatever they are offering, and politely ask them to remove us from their list.

But nothing gets rid of all of them.

I've been trying for the longest time to figure out a way to accurately screen them all out and to get rid of them in a way that stops the calls. But every time I try, I just end up getting into a conversation with them -- one I don't have time for. So, I just tell them he's in a meeting or something. Some of them have gotten wise to the not leaving a message thing, though. They'll ask to be put through the voice mail, but then they don't leave one. I know because I have access to my bosses' inboxes, and their voice mails show up there as MP3s.
